If golfer Greg Norman was right about his marriage to tennis champion Chris Evert having lifted his game, then it looks like he's in for some frustrating tee shots with the sporting couple having called it quits after just 15 months of marriage."We will remain friends and supportive of one another's family," the two 54-year-olds said in a short statement.Bart Collins, Norman's long-time manager and friend, said the double British Open champion would issue no further comment. The couple, who only recently were seen out together at the US Open tennis tournament in New York, did not say whether they were planning to divorce. Norman and Evert were married at the One & Only Ocean Club resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas in June 2008 in a beachfront ceremony held under a veil of tight security. While still on honeymoon, the former world number one golfer made a surprise comeback carrying a two-shot lead going into the final round at the British Open at Royal Birkdale before eventually tying for third place.Norman said at the time that his marriage to Evert, which began after she left her husband of 18 years - ex Olympic ski champion Andy Mill - had had "a rub-off effect on this golf".
