The Nevada County Public Health Department will hold community clinics for normal seasonal flu shots starting next week.
Vaccine for the new H1N1 (swine) flu will arrive in October and a schedule for those shots will be issued in the future, according to Patty Carter of the health department.
Those that have Medi-Care, Medi-Cal, or Health Insurance and a medical home, are encouraged to seek their flu shot at their provider's office. A $10 contribution is suggested for the seasonal flu shots at the county's clinics.
Here are the dates and times for all county seasonal flu clinics, which are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays. For more information, call 265-1450.
Adult clinics
• Sept. 16, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Building, 255 So. Auburn St.
• Sept. 23, 23rd, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Grass Valley Veteran's Building 255 So. Auburn St, Grass Valley.
• Oct. 7, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Penn Valley Fire Department, 10513 Spenceville Road.
• Oct. 28, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Sierra Presbyterian Health Fair, 175 Ridge Road, Nevada City.Children and adults
• Sept. 30, 4- 7 p.m., 255 So. Auburn St, Grass Valle
