US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday hailed as "historic" an agreement seeking to end four months of political crisis in Honduras and pave the way to presidential elections. She spoke shortly after Honduras's de facto leader Roberto Micheletti announced that he had agreed to reinstate President Manuel Zelaya, who was ousted in a military-led coup in June.Pending approval from lawmakers, the deal signed by Micheletti would return Zelaya to the presidency and allow the formation of a coalition government ahead of a planned presidential election on November 29.Clinton also extended congratulations to Costa Rican President Oscar Arias, the Organization of American States (OAS), Brazil and Mexico for their mediating roles, and highlighted the shuttle diplomacy of US envoys.Negotiators for Zelaya and Micheletti returned to the table on Thursday, as security forces again used batons and tear gas against pro-Zelaya protesters. The United States, European Union and International Monetary Fund applied aid freezes to impoverished Honduras after the June 28 coup. The United Nations and the OAS have said they will not monitor next month's polls until normality is restored.

Megan Fox
LOS ANGELES – Confirming that endorsement deals still have cachet in a recession, "Transformers" star Megan Fox is pulling down a seven-figure payday to model Armani underwear and jeans.
The 23-year-old will be the new face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans in 2010, the Milan-based fashion house announced Wednesday.
Most endorsement deals pay celebrities from $500,000 to $2 million for an ad campaign that runs a year, and Fox will make toward the high end of the range, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press.
This person was not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.Overall advertising spending is down, but brands continue to pay for endorsement deals with celebrities, said Carol Goll, head of global branded entertainment for International Creative Management, the Hollywood talent agency that represented Fox in the Armani deal."There's a lot of interest in celebrity spokespeople," Goll said. "We haven't seen a decline in that."The agency recently also signed major deals for clients Beyonce, with General Mills Inc., and Ellen DeGeneres with Cover Girl.
