The Indianapolis Colts will one day regret pulling their starters on Sunday in a loss to the New

York Jets. Not if the Colts go on to lose the Super Bowl, but rather if they win it.I don’t buy for a second that the Colts could lose in the playoffs because they essentially gave the Jets a 29-15 win after leading and ultimately blew a chance at an undefeated season. The starters played enough to maintain their rhythm. And they will likely see some time this week at Buffalo. Also, they will have two weeks to rest up for a playoff run.
The regret will come minutes after winning the Super Bowl in Miami. Should the Colts (14-1) stand take the podium to accept the Vince Lombardi Trophy with a 17-2 or 18-1 record they will be left to wonder about what could have been.
They would have to live with the fact that they allowed a half of football against the struggling Jets and a game at the Brian Brohm-led Buffalo Bills this Sunday stand in the way of achieving unmatched greatness.

Lambert will headline Gridlock New Year's Eve concert in Los Angeles, while Gaga will play gig at Fontainebleau in Miami Beach.Adam Lambert may have been dropped from "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest," but the pop star just announced he's got a new gig to ring in the New Year. But if you want to see him play as the clock strikes midnight, then you'd better buy your tickets. Star Susan Sarandon And Tim Robbins Split

The couple - who were together for 23 years but never married - separated earlier in the year, according to a publicist for the actress, although the news has only just come out.
Oscar-winning Hollywood actors Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have split after more than two decades together.
"Actress Susan Sarandon, 63, and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins, 51, have announced that they separated over the summer," her representative Teal Cannaday said in a statement. "No further comments will be made."
The split has surprised many who saw them as one of the entertainment world's most enduring couples.
They were known outside the world of movies for their strong political views and activism - both were vocal critics of President George W Bush and the invasion of Iraq.
The couple, who met on the set of the baseball film Bull Durham, have two children together, Jack 20, and Miles, 17.
Sarandon has a daughter, Eva, 24, from a previous relationship.
Sarandon, whose films include Thelma And Louise and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, won an Academy Award for 1995's Dead Man Walking.
Robbins won a best supporting actor Oscar in 2003 for his performance in Clint Eastwood drama Mystic River.

Know the recipient: This guideline applies to all gifts. So, for example, you may not want to give an anti credit card person a $100 American Express gift card. The last thing he wants anyone to do is to give a person a ‘gift’ that supports an industry they loathe. I, on the other hand, think there are advantages to credit cards (as compared to debit cards) so you are more than welcome to give me an AMEX gift card.
Don’t use it as a lazy last minute idea: I’m telling you, some people can just sense this stuff. It’s like you’re sweating laziness and they can smell it. Buy a gift card when you think it is what the recipient would most enjoy, not because you want a lazy man’s exemption from Christmas shopping. Brittany Murphy Stars pay tribute

Friends and colleagues of Brittany Murphy have been paying tribute to the US actress who has died at the age of 32.
U.S. actress Brittany Murphy, who co-starred in such films as "Clueless" and "Girl, Interrupted" but saw her career wane in recent years, died in Los Angeles on Sunday after suffering cardiac arrest in her bathroom, officials said. She was 32.
Murphy was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about 10 a.m. PST (1:00 p.m. EST), two hours after her mother reportedly found her unconscious in the shower of the actress' Hollywood Hills home. A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner said there were no suspicious circumstances, but that an autopsy would take place in the next few days.
Celebrity gossip Web site TMZ, which first broke the news, reported late on Sunday that there was "a significant amount of vomit" in the bathroom area. It said Murphy had been taking medications for 'flu-like symptoms for several days, and that there were a lot of prescriptions in the house.

Just purchased a 42" Snow Blower to go on my 345 tractor. This was first snow in Iowa this year (2009) and was about 15" with 45 mph winds. Brrr.
Did a great job but still learning the tricks. Tractor has cast iron weights and chains.

Flight delay for Record low temperatures put frost and ice

In cold-weather cities such as Denver and Chicago, de-icing airplanes is as ubiquitous as the season's blizzards and freezing temperatures.
But the frost and ice that has delayed a number of flights out of San Jose and other Bay Area airports this week are so uncommon that airports here are left scrambling to dust off little-used equipment. And one airline, Southwest in San Jose, dealt with frost California Style: It towed planes to sunny spots and let them soak up the sun, a process one official described as "solar de-icing."
"If we use it more than once a year, it's a busy year," San Francisco International Airport spokesman Mike McCarron said of de-icing equipment. "Most airlines rely on solar de-icing.Delta and American have de-icing equipment at San Jose Mineta International Airport, and other airlines lease the equipment.No records were broken Wednesday but in San Jose, the low was a frigid 30 degrees that caused a second day of flight delays at area airports when "de-icing" entered the Bay Area weather lexicon like the unwelcome cold.In San Francisco, Delta and American airlines are the only carriers that have their own equipment. Tuesday and Wednesday, both carriers de-iced their early morning flights, McCarron said. Delays were less than an hour for no more than six flights at the airport, McCarron said.
The process of de-icing planes is relatively easy, Smith said. The equipment used by American Airlines is similar to a bucket truck used to repair telephone poles, and is attached to a tank filled with a heated ethylene glycol solution. Workers blast the plane with a high-pressure hose, a process that typically takes between 15 to 20 minutes, Smith said. In cities where snow and colder temperatures are the norm, a thicker, gel-like anti-icing fluid is applied to the plane.Vossbrink said airlines spend about $1,500 to de-ice a plane.

Actor Nicolas Cage sued by ex-girlfriend over home

Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend is suing the actor and his former business manager, claiming she is owed more than $13 million and a house the actor promised her.
Christina Fulton, who is the mother of Cage's adult son, Weston, sued the Oscar-winner in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
She claims Cage promised her a home in Los Angeles' Hancock Park neighborhood, but she has now been ordered to leave the property.
Fulton is seeking the title and rights to the house, as well as money for a series of debts she claims were caused by Cage's former business manager.
Cage's attorney, Marty Singer, called Fulton's claims against the actor absurd and said Cage has given her far more than the $6,000 per month he was required to pay her under a court order.
